League of Legends Summoner’s Rift Updated Map Shown in Livestream
Riot Games is going in hard on the revamping of League of Legends Summoner’s Rift map.
The map is currently under development with no release date attached to it, but the studio has released screenshots in the past and now a video, to keep you updated with their doings.
The video above is actually a livestream that the developers held to show off the new looks of the map as well as their reasons behind choosing to do what they have done with it.
Check out what the senior animator and the game designer has to say about revamping of the most popular map in the MOBA genre.
Recently we alluded that the League of Legends Summoner’s Rift reboot is starting to look a lot like Dota 2.
Now, we suggest that you take a look at the video above and tell us if Riot Games has done anything to change that.
On the upside, the new map is going to be a lot faster and smoother for the not so blessed PC owners. This is because the Summoner’s Rift is now going to run on 1/8th the polygon count that it used to have before. Furthermore, the map is hand drawn.
In parallel news, Riot Games has announced that the fans of LoL will have to make do with this title and all its updates; there isn’t going to be a League of Legends 2, ever.
