Bayonetta 2 Co-op Gameplay Footage Shows Tag Climax Mode Battles

By   /   Jun 13, 2014

The previously announced Bayonetta 2 co-op game mode now has a gameplay video to go along with it.

The game mode which was announced during E3 2014 will feature two players who will be competing against each other in a PvE environment to see who the better slayer is.

Players will be able to wager halos, the in-game currency, and then be pitched against enemies in the game mode which is titled Tag Climax.

Eventually, the one with a better score wins and earns a large number of halos from the pool both players created by placing the wager at the start.

Halos can then be traded in story mode to unlock new techniques, buy new accessories, and pick up alternate weapon variations.

One of the players will play as Bayonetta and the other as Jeanne, her once rival and now ally. Both will have their unique abilities and attacks.

Platinum Games’ Bayonetta 2 will be released exclusively on Wii U in October and retail copies of the game will also include the original Bayonetta running at 60fps and with some Wii U exclusive features.
