Who is Halo 5: Guardians’ Mysterious Spartan? It’s Agent Locke

By   /   Jun 12, 2014

The first image that Microsoft shared for Halo 5: Guardians was the one which had a Spartan standing tall while Master Chief looked like as if he was a reflection of the Spartan. Up until now we have not been told who really was behind that blue visor. Not any more though, the Spartan has been confirmed to be Agent Locke.

The general manager of 343 Industries Bonnie Ross has stated that Agent Locke plays a key role in Guardians and went on further saying:

“We’re using Halo Nightfall to basically tell his backstory and tell his origin story. You don’t have to watch this, but knowing this will kind of tee you up for all the new things that are going on in Halo 5: Guardians. The goal there is to drop you right off at the doorstep of Halo 5: Guardians.”

For those who don’t know, Halo Nightfall is the webseries that is going to accompany Halo: The Master Chief Collection along with all the other games in the series. It is currently in production.

In parallel news, the Halo 5: Guardians beta version is going to kick off on December 27 so I am sure that you will have a very good Christmas week. As far as the Master Chief Collection is concerned, it is going to be released on November 11.

How hyped are you about all the influx of news regarding Halo, not to forget that Agent Locke is going to be at the helm of Halo 5: Guardians?
