Far Cry 4 Gameplay Footage Shows How to Ride an Elephant

Perhaps one of the most exciting feature every Far Cry fan had been waiting for after the announcement of Far Cry 4 and its Himalayan setting was the prospect of riding elephants. Well Ubisoft had made that wish come true.

In a gameplay footage recorded on a regular camera from one of the game’s demo booths, player can be seen just walking up to an elephant and controlling the hulking beast just like they would control their own character. The actual riding part starts around 4 minute 10 second mark.

Although it looks kind of weird, sitting on an elephant without any harness, seemingly giving movement commands through your brain while you are shooting at the bad guys but it certainly seems fun.

As seen in one of the earlier gameplay videos, elephants are Far Cry 4’s equivalent to bears or leopards in Far Cry 3. They can be set upon enemy camps to unleash destruction but unlike the Far Cry 3 animals, elephants aren’t easy to kill.

Far Cry 4 puts players in the shoes of Ajay, returning to his home in Kryat where he gets caught up in a civil war. The game will be released on 18th November for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
