Steam Summer Sale for 2014 Hinted by Mysterious Cards

By   /   Jun 11, 2014

What is all this noise we are hearing about Mysterious Cards popping up in the Steam community market? What else could it be, but a hint towards the Steam Summer Sale!

Just moments ago, people over at NeoGAF spotted multiple ‘Mysterious Cards’ that can be crafted if you have a certain set of trading cards.

Now don’t think I am naming them that by myself, these are actually called Mysterious Cards on the official website. There are ten types of these cards numbered from 1 to 10 and in total a couple of hundreds of them can be found at the time of reporting.

For each one of them you can see the total quantity that is available as well as the starting price which ranges from $0.24 to $2.34.

Moreover, each of these mysterious cards are also available in Foil form which are priced higher comparatively.

This is not the first hint at the Steam Summer Sale that we have seen. Previously an image was leaked over Reddit that showed a developer asking Valve for spreadsheets to fill out discounts on their games and it mentioned a June 13 deadline for submission of discounts.

This comes in tail of summer sale news from Origin Store, Uplay Shop, GMG, Gamefly Digital. Be it a ritual of buying games that we never play, or a real deal; the summer sales have always managed to attract a lot of buyers.

If the two aforementioned hints are to be believed, we could be looking at the Steam Summer Sale before the turn of the month. Is your wallet ready for it?
