Mass Effect 4 Will Still be a Mass Effect Even Without Shepard and Company
We all knew that another Mass Effect was in the making so EA finally decided to give us a sneak peak at the game in the form of a prototype video.
Following the reveal, Aaryn Flynn who is the head of Bioware Edmonton and Montreal shared some new information on upcoming Mass Effect title and how it will reference to Commander Shepard’s trilogy.
I can’t get into that too much. We’ve got a really cool idea for how we’re going to carry on – keep the trilogy separate but at the same time give a bunch of nods to fans who enjoyed the trilogy in the past. That’s all going to come out soon.
Flynn continued on to mention that the popular races of Mass Effect trilogy will definitely return. However, it was confirmed before that Commander Shepard and his companions will not be returning to next game as it is set in a separate “Space Region”.
Definitely returning races. It wouldn’t be a Mass Effect game without the krogans – we showed a krogan today.
The infamous races will be coming back and the focus in next game will be on a brand new settings that will have its own unique story and characters.
Bioware is currently working on Dragon Age: Inquisition, which will release later this year and after that work on Mass Effect 4 will begin fully so don’t expect to see it any time soon.
