Destiny Will Deliver 1080p Resolution on Xbox One Thanks to June SDK Update

The Xbox One June update is expected to bring forth improvements to the console’s performance and it looks like Destiny Xbox One version will be positively impacted by it. Apparently, the game be able to run at 1080p and 30 frames per second.

Couple of days ago Phil Spencer the head of Microsoft’s Xbox division had announced that they will be releasing an additional chunk of the GPU power that was previously locked for Kinect on Xbox One.

As a result, he said that at least 10 percent improved performance could be expected from the console.

In related news he had also confirmed that one of the games that this will have an impact on is Destiny. Although no specific figures were given but it was hinted that the resolution of the game will be higher after the changes SDK changes take place in June.

Now, we have picked up word from another reliable source that the exact nature of the June SDK update will be that resolution of Destiny Xbox One version will get a jump to 1080p and it will run at 30fps.

Geoff Keighley, the Canadian journalist who is usually accurate with his insider news took to Twitter with the following tweet:

After @xboxp3 interview I’ve been asking devs about impact of new Xbox sdk on perf. Bungie says it will get Destiny to 1080p/30fps on XB1.

Previously, Destiny Xbox One version was expected to go only as far as 900p so this is a pretty welcome confirmation. Don’t you think?
