The Crew is Perfect Mix of Racer and MMO
Ubisoft certainly has every racing game fan hooked for news regarding its upcoming title The Crew. However, that isn’t the only type of gamer they are targeting with this game, they are also looking to leave an impact in the MMO market, something which NFS World intended to do as well.
The words Open World really carry some weight when it comes to The Crew. Players will be able to drive through some of America’s iconic territories, each map being the size of GTA V’s Los Santos. Well, that is a pretty big claim.
The game world is littered with quests, which start automatically once you drive through them. Whether you are a really great driver or suck at it, you will get rewards depending on your performance.
Your Crew serves as your party in a typical MMO setting who can join each other in the world or during missions instantly. Players can also join one out of a total five factions available in game.
While the game is meant for a co-op experience, it also has PvP elements where you can challenge other players to a race.
The insane amount of fun and mayhem never ends in the game. One moment you could be evading the cops and next working together with your crew to take down some bad guys. With this kind of limitless replay-ability, driving in The Crew could one day become equivalent to grinding and farming in an MMO.
As expected from an MMO, The Crew will be an online-only game. The Crew is expected to be released on 11th November for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
