Limbo Creators Reveal INSIDE For Xbox One

By   /   Jun 9, 2014

One of the major surprises from Microsoft’s E3 press conference was in the shape of INSIDE, the new title from the developer of Limbo.

There isn’t anything that can be said about Playdead that’s not already known. The indie studio’s dark-themed puzzel-platformer Limbo managed to attain great popularity upon release and found itself on many ‘Game of the Year’ lists.

INSIDE looks like a fresh start for the studio, who has revealed to be working on it for the past four years. The game follows a young boy who is trying to escape a factory where the citizens are controlled automatons. The boy though still has his mind intact and with the help of the player will hopefully escape the facility.

The game brings back the same morbid feel and despair that we’ve come to expect from Playdead. Gameplay wise it looks similar to Limbo but much more complex.

INSIDE will arrive first on the Xbox One in early 2015 as part of a timed-exclusivity deal with the developer. Expect Playdead to drop the details on their new title in the coming days.
