The Crew Opens Up The Entire Country For Racers, Beta Coming July 23

By   /   Jun 9, 2014

Ubisoft’s open-world MMO racer The Crew is looking magnificent and was today announced at E3 to arrive on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 11.

The studio showed a very captivating video that was put together using only in-game footage. The Crew will allow players to explore the entire country and to showcase just that, Ubisoft took us for a ride through the states, seeking out The Rocky Mountains, Los Angeles and Miami.

The game’s creative director Julian Garrity stated that all the environments, landscapes, roads and other assets in The Crew have been carefully crafted in view of the actual landmarks in the country. Deserts, highways, mountain ranges, and the like have been put together on scale so that they are identical to their real-life counterparts.

Garrity also revealed that missions can last up to two hours and that customization of cars is very extensive. Players can tinker around to make their cars look like whatever they want.

A closed beta for The Crew will go live on July 23; while the game will officially launch on November 11 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Those interested in registering themselves for the closed beta need to head over to The Crew’s official website and sign up for the beta.
