Gameplay footage from Ubisoft’s truly next-generation title of the Assassin’s Creed franchise, Assassin’s Creed: Unity showed a lot of exciting new things. Game takes place during the 18th-century French Revolution.

For the first time in the series, the game will also involve four players co-op to progress through the story.

The gameplay video shows the player along with three other friends, each armed with their own unique weapons. Axes and Spears return as main weapons along with Swords.

The mission shown takes place in 1789, the target being some rich French personality. Players have to infiltrate the target’s mansion using stealth methods like crowd blending and creating distractions.

Another feature which is a first in the series is the ability to enter buildings through open windows and not just for evading purposes but also to move around in them and interact with its residents even if it is just to kill them.

The cover system in the game seems to be revamped along with overall fluidity of player movement, especially when moving on ledges or flag poles.

Black Flag did a really great job with visuals and this time Ubisoft has improved further upon it. Player’s Assassin garb isn’t just a dead piece of armor anymore and moves with the wind or player movement.
