Tropico 5 Guide – Service Quality, Job Happiness and Effectiveness
Developed by Haemimont Games, Tropico 5 is a construction and management simulation which revolves around building cities in different eras.
The game has brought in several new features like co-op and multiplayer game mode. Players will have a choice to work in collaboration with other players to give rise to adversaries.
Tropico 5 Guide
In this guide, I’ll be talking about some basic techniques ranging from managing budget to a brief overview of different eras.
Effectiveness basically determines how effectively a building operates. To put it simply, a building with higher effectiveness will perform its functions better than a building with lower effectiveness.
How to Improve Effectiveness
Effectiveness of a particular building is largely varied by the building itself. For instance, a farm’s effectiveness depends upon Fertility and Pollution rather than its Appearance.
However, there are some ways with which effectiveness of every building can be increased to some extent. Some of these ways are: increasing budget of a building, maximizing the staff, building all upgrades, and recruiting managers.
And like I have mentioned above, certain buildings have a set of conditions to improve its effectiveness. Below you will find a brief overview:
Farms: ground fertility, sugar farms, and vehicle factory
Hospitals: pharmacy and immunization campaigning
Schools and Colleges: museum and literacy program
Factories: jewelry workshop, waste treatment plant, and ecology constitution options
Determining Job Happiness
This is the overall happiness of the Tropicans who will seek a job with higher job happiness than with lower job happiness.
There are a number of factors which affect the Job Happiness and some of these are discussed below:
Garages tend to increase the job happiness of nearby buildings along with Constitution which can increase or decrease it. Furthermore, recruiting a manager or upgrading a building can also affect Job Happiness.
Service Quality determines the overall happiness of a consumer. Therefore, it is extremely important to aim for a higher Service Quality.
As a general rule of thumb, a state of the art building will always yield higher Service Quality than a primitive building. Service Quality of a building is another important factor which determines the overall effectiveness of a building.
