Sunset Overdrive Features 8-Player Co-Op Action

By   /   Jun 8, 2014

The official Xbox page for Insomniac Games’ Sunset Overdrive has been updated a day before we head into E3 2014. The new update reveals that the upcoming over-the-top, open-world action shooter will feature co-op play that will support up to eight players, you included.

At the time of writing, the information has been pulled from the game’s page. If anything, this indicates that Microsoft will be making an announcement during their media briefing tomorrow. In addition to the game’s co-op mode, we might also get to see some new gameplay and be on the receiving end of new updates.

Sunset Overdrive was revealed last year at E3 and borrows basic elements from general apocalyptic games. In this case, your city has turned everyone into mutants and you have to figure out a way to fight them off. Not much in the storyline but the game’s main selling point is its dynamic combat mechanics.

Sunset Overdrive is an exclusive shooter for the Xbox One and is scheduled to launch this fall. Microsoft’s E3 2014 press conference will begin at 9:30 a.m. PST on June 9.
