Sony E3 2014 Press Conference Live Stream Time, Where To Watch and What To Expect
While Sony does seem to have the biggest show at E3 2014 with a total of 8 booths and claiming to have atleast 70 games on the show floor, it sure is pretty quiet when talking about what new games they will be revealing at their press conference.
Sony’s E3 Press Conference is set to begin on Monday, 9th June at 6pm PT.
Sony sure did pick up the perfect time to tease God of War 4, while the previous installment God of War: Ascension had the same signature gameplay of the franchise, many felt the story was lacking and now have their hopes tied to the next installment. Let’s hope fans are not disappointed.
Departure of Naughty Dog’s Justin Richmond and Amy Henning caused quite a stir in the gaming industry.
Both had been working on Uncharted 4 and are legends in their own respective fields. Fans of the franchise were in despair until Neil Druckman and Bruce Staley from The Last of Us joined the team.
Not much is known about the fourth installment in Nathan Drake’s adventures but Sony has confirmed that it will be discussed at the conference.
There are rumors floating around that Sony has an on-stage demo ready for The Order: 1886 for PS4. The game caused quite a buzz last year after its reveal and was immediately titled as a true next gen experience because of its amazing visuals.
Whether the demo is ready or not is still unclear but Sony has confirmed that the game will be discussed. Let’s hope a trailer and a release date is part of that discussion.
Rime will also be making an appearance at the conference. Originally revealed at Gamescom 2013, not much is known about the game besides that players will be controlling a boy living on a magical island. Gameplay will involve puzzle elements and that it is being developed by Tequila Works. Fingers crossed for a demo or a release date tomorrow.
A Sony home entertainment console just isn’t complete without a Gran Turismo title. If rumors are to be believed, Gran Turismo 7: The Prologue might be in works and we might even get a chance to see it during the press conference. It is also possible that the game might turn out to be exactly what GT6 was to GT5.
Let’s hope that is not the case and we get to see a proper title and not a repackage.
Perhaps the most talked about game these past few months and the internet has been ablaze over countless rumors regarding its cancellation even after confirmations from Sony that The Last Guardian is very much in development. It’s been quite a while since the game has been in the pipeline; let’s hope Team Ico finally has enough ready to treat us to a proper trailer or gameplay demo.
Other titles set to appear during the conference include some indie games like Pixel Opus and AAA titles like Destiny and DriveClub.
Personally I am also hoping for some more information regarding FromSoftware’s Project Beast and The Last of Us Remastered.
