Mega Evolutions In Pokemon Omega Ruby And Alpha Sapphire

By   /   Jun 8, 2014

Recent leaks from Japan’s CoroCoro Magazine have revealed a lot of exciting information regarding the upcoming Pokemon Omega Ruby and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire. One such information is about the Mega Evolution stage of Pokemon in the game.

The images show Mega versions of the three starters; Mega Sceptile, Mega Blaziken and Mega Swampert along with the information that Kyogre and Groudon will have some major never before seen changes as well in some evolution stage.

The glowing Groudon and Kyogre as seen on the game covers are indeed quite different from what they have been in previous games. They are referred to as Ancient Devolutions in the magazine and not Mega Evolutions and given the names Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon.

However, this might simple be because of the loose Japanese translations and the English version of the game might eventually end up referring to them as Mega Pokemon.

Other Pokemon whose Mega stages have been mentioned include Mega Diancie, a rock-fairy type Pokemon as seen in the recent Pokemon movie “Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction”.

Team Aqua’s Archie, Shelley and Matt as well as Team Magma’s Maxie, Tabitha and Courtney will also be making a return in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Another character who is returning is Steven Stone who now has a Mega Charizard X at his disposal!

Pokemon Omega Ruby and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire are set to be released this November exclusively on 3DS.
