Loadout Headed to PlayStation 4 as a Console Exclusive

By   /   Jun 6, 2014

Loadout, a free-to-play third-person multiplayer shooter is headed to PlayStation 4 as a console exclusive title, developer Edge of Reality has announced.

Featuring cartoonish visuals like Borderlands franchise, Loadout allows players to build their own unique weapons by combining hundreds of parts.

Although the creative director at Edge of Reality claims that players can build billions of weapons combinations, this is so not true. And those of you who happened to play the PC version will agree!

There are basically only four weapons to choose from and while there indeed are a bunch of upgrades available, most of them are not worth it; especially in a competitive environment.

Loadout has literally billions of different weapon combinations and you can wield every last one of them once we launch on PS4. We’re going to be adjusting all the scopes and balancing the barrels so your weapons of choice feel right at home on DualShock 4.

When we talk about visual fidelity, no solid resolution or expected frames per second has been divulged, but I’m expecting it to run at least at 60 frames per second which is a justified criteria for a competitive shooter. Check out the gallery below which will give an idea of what to expect from the PlayStation 4 version:

Featuring five distinctive game modes, this arcade-styled shooter was released back in January 2014 for PC and has managed to score an overwhelming community comprising of three million players.

While no release date has been provided, we have compiled a series of guides on Loadout to level up your game if plan to jump in to test out the PC version prior to PlayStation 4 release.
