WoW: Warlords of Draenor Alpha Version Goes Live, Invites Being Sent

By   /   Jun 5, 2014

The registrations for the WoW: Warlords of Draenor Alpha testing have been live since April; however, it took them nearly two months to get to the alpha version. Nonetheless, if you have signed up for it, you will be able to take part in the testing from today.

For this early phase of alpha testing, we’re focusing on the Horde experience in Frostfire Ridge, a harsh land of ceaseless winter and volcanic peaks. You’ll need to create a new character (only Horde is available, at least for now); we’ll give it some gear and level it to 90, and then you’ll be on your way!

We’ll be adding lots more content and features as the alpha test progresses, and we’ll detail in this thread what’s available for testing as the game is updated. Be sure to check out the full alpha patch notes as well for an in-depth look at what’s to come in Warlords of Draenor.

The primary focus of the alpha, as of now, is to test the Frostfire Ridge for the Hordes. So, the players are going to be asked to create a new Horde character, it will be leveled to 90 and gear will be provided by the developers.

Warlords of Draenor Alpha expansion will also service the races, a higher polygon count, improved textures, new facial emotions and refine animations should be expected. There will also be gameplay changes along with improvements to general graphics.
