Diablo 3 Patch 2.1 to Fix Pets AI Alongside Call of the Ancients
Most of the Diablo 3 fans have had something to do with the pet classes and most of them would surely have come across some really unwelcome bugs. Most notable of these is one relating to Call of the Ancients ability of Barbarian. Blizzard has recently announced that they will be patching up these bugs in Diablo 3 Patch 2.1.
Now we have picked up word that other areas among the pets AI will also be improved by the patch in question.
The community manager of the official Battle.net forums posted on a thread titled Call of the Ancients List of Bugs:
I did some digging and found out that these changes will update multiple pets, and not just Call of the Ancients. I’ll go over what those changes are, and what pets it should affect. I also want to emphasize that we don’t have an estimate to share for when we expect patch 2.1, but we’re definitely working on it and are looking to provide a PTR.
We’re making a number [of] improvements to the AI of several pets. We’re also fixing a number of issues that sometimes prevented some pets from attacking nearby enemies, or caused them to stand still and stop attacking their current target.
Moreover, he went on to list the different types of pets that should be updated with the Diablo 3 Patch 2.1:
- Call of the Ancients
- Fetish Army
- Mystic Ally
- Zombie Dogs
As far as the Ancients are concerned, the Diablo 3 Patch 2.1 will ensure that they are able to use their secondary abilities and that they don’t stand idle when they can attack.
