Xbox One Games with Gold Kicks off Today with Halo: Spartan Assault & Max: The Curse of Brotherhood

It has been one whole year since Microsoft launched their Games with Gold promotion for Xbox 360. Though originally it was time bound, the offers were then made a regular part of Xbox Live. However, the Xbox One Games with Gold promotion has joined in the race now.

The promotion is going to be the same in nature as it has been for Xbox 360 previously i.e. two free games for each month. It is still unknown if they will be put up on offer separately at the start and the middle of each month like it is for Xbox 360 games or will they come together at the same time.

As far as the first two titles are concerned, they are both listed as free on the Xbox Marketplace for everyone who has an Xbox Live Gold Membership.

The first two games are going to be Halo: Spartan Assault and Max: The Curse of Brotherhood. Isn’t that impressive?

Moreover, Crimson Dragon is available at half the original price. It looks like they are celebrating the one year anniversary of Games with Gold on Xbox One as well.

Contrary to the convention, this month three games have been put up for free on Xbox 360 in order to commemorate the anniversary.

In parallel news, the Xbox One June update is starting to roll out today and will be adding external storage, real names usage and a lot of other nifty features. Read up on it here.

Looks like quite a lot is planned for the month by Microsoft, how excited are you about the titles put up by them through Xbox One Games with Gold promotion for June?
