Tetris Ultimate Announced For PS4, Xbox One and PC

By   /   Jun 4, 2014

It’s a momentous occasion for the Tetris franchise as it approaches its 30th anniversary this summer. To commemorate this milestone, Ubisoft has announced the release of Tetris Ultimate this summer on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and this fall on the PC.

Tetris Ultimate is said to feature a total of six game modes: Marathon, Battle, Power-Up Battle, Ultra, Endless, and Spirit. Details on each mode have yet to be revealed and Ubisoft is probably going to make that happen at or post E3 this weekend. The studio did however reveal that all the modes will be playable with up to four participants.

A special trailer has been promised to be released in the next couple of days that will feature some, if not all, of the modes in action.

Ubisoft will hold their E3 2014 press conference on June 9 at 3 p.m. PT (6 p.m. ET). Aisha Tyler will once more host the media briefing. On Monday, June 10, Tetris creator Alexey Pajitnov will be at the Ubisoft booth in South Hall demonstrating Tetris Ultimate from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. ET. Attendees will be able to get their hands on the game at the Uplay Lounge, located in The Standard hotel.
