Dark Souls 2 Gets The Lost Crowns Trilogy DLC

By   /   Jun 4, 2014

Namco Bandai has announced The Lost Crowns expansion pack for Dark Souls 2; which essentially is a trilogy of episodes that will start being released this summer.

Episode 1: Crown of the Sunken King is slated for a July 22 release, Episode 2: Crown of the Old Iron King will arrive on August 26 and Episode 3: Crown of the Ivory King is set for September 24.

As evident from the names, each episode has you questing for long forgotten crowns. Starting with episode 1 where “the Crown of the Sunken King sends players on a quest to reclaim the Crown that King Vendrick once owned.”

According to Namco, players should prepare themselves for episode 1 since that crown is not left unguarded. More so, players can expect new areas to explore where they will come across pyramids, underground caverns, and unknown foes.

Each episode will cost $9.99. If you’re in favor of saving $5 on it, then you can opt for a Dark Souls 2 Season Pass that is available on Steam and covers all three episodes for $24.99.

The DLC will be available on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC. Unlike the main game, the DLC will arrive on PC at the same time as the console versions arrive.
