Spec Ops: The Line Dev Yager is Teasing a New AAA Title, Reveal at E3
Yager Development is famed for Spec Ops: The Line, a critically acclaimed action game. Although their game didn’t turn out to be as much of a commercial success as they would have liked, it still had the juice to make people look up to them for better titles, so here is one.
Yager Development is going to announce a new AAA title at their year’s E3. Yes, it is the one you might have heard rumors of inn the past too.
The official Twitter profile of Yager Development made a tweet couple of hours ago hinting towards a new game that they plan to reveal at this year’s E3. That was the starting point, and more information was, well, churned out by investigative journalism.

All in all, here’s what we have been able to find out with regards to the said title.
Firstly, the game is going to be a first person shooter as provided by the official website of the developer and Grey Box is going to publish the game. They are the same company that is publishing Grey Goo, a game that they are claiming to be revolutionary in the field of RTS games.
However, that is not what Yager Development is working on, what they are working on was highlighted by the LinkedIn profile of Timo Ullmann, the managing director of Yager Development.
As you can see under his Experience tab, he is working on two unannounced projects. One of those is the one they are teasing. The first one is a ‘AAA project for Next Gen, based on Unreal Engine 4,’ while the second title is another ‘AAA F2P, based on Unreal Engine 4’ again.
So it is certain that the game that is going to be showcased at E3 2014 by them is going to be AAA, based on Unreal Engine, a first-person shooter and will be a new IP.
Conclusively, that shatters the hopes for Spec Ops 2 being announced anytime soon. What do you think Yager Development has up their sleeve if it is not a sequel to Spec Ops: The Line?
