Mortal Kombat X Confirmed with a Trailer Featuring Scorpion and Sub-Zero

By   /   Jun 2, 2014

The game has been known for almost a year now, but officially this is the world premiere for Mortal Kombat X. After having tantalized all over the internet, we finally have the official word and a trailer to top it off.

The official announcement trailer as it should be called is around two minutes long and in pretty classy graphics, shows off two of the most interesting characters from the series; Scorpion and Sub-Zero who are taking on each other.

From the looks of it, the trailer seems to be taken from the gameplay footage and boasts of multiple features like personal weapons and interactive environment. You can even break a branch off a tree and beat the heck out of your enemy with it.

Previously, a teaser poster was released that had a pretty tempting tagline that read: “who’s next.” This was followed by iconic rapper Wiz Khalifa who tweeted a picture with the same tagline accompanied by a hashtag saying “I am #WHOSNEXT.”

Later, listings were spotted on Amazon for Mortal Kombat X for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One followed by Ed Boon’s tweet. See below:

When all this had managed to stream as much adrenaline as it could, NetherRealm Studios finally let loose the official trailer.

How excited are you about Mortal Kombat X? Oh and Scorpion or Sub-Zero?
