Official Details Regarding Call Of Duty Ghosts Invasion DLC

By   /   May 30, 2014

Following yesterday’s leak, Activision has officially released details regarding the upcoming DLC for Call of Duty: Ghosts. The DLC, titled Invasion, will be released on Xbox Live on June 3rd while the PSN and PC version will be launched at a later date.

The DLC includes 4 maps and the 3rd part of the four part Extinction narrative.

Set in Mexico during Day of the Dead celebrations, Departed is a beautiful looking medium sized map with a unique Field Order. Upon completion of that Field Order, the player will be granted Death Mariachi killstreak with which they can dual wield pistols and the enemies they kill will become temporary squad mates.

Pharaoh takes players to an archaeological dig site in Egypt where not only the other players but the environment itself will be their enemy. Collapsing structures and flesh eating scarabs await players who venture into this multi layered map. The map also features close combat areas once players are inside the palace.

Mutiny takes place on a remote island which once used to be a pirate hideout. If campers were thinking to set up shop in the abandoned ship at the middle of the map, they should rethink that strategy since there are various flanking points from where they can be ambushed. Players that complete the Field Order will be escorted by two ghost pirates.

The last map in the pack, Favela brings a new and refreshing take on one of the most famous maps from Modern Warfare 2. Completing the Field Order here would grant player access to a Y-8 Gunship to rain death on their enemies.

Invasion can be purchased separately for $14.99 while players with Season Pass get free access.
