Arma 3 Karts DLC is no Longer a Joke, It’s a Real Deal Now
What started off as an April Fools joke became a Reality when Bohemia Interactive announced Arma 3 Karts today to celebrate Arma 3’s 1 million copies sold milestone.
Czech developer and publisher Bohemia Interactive announced Arma 3 Karts DLC as an April Fools Joke back in April, the fans not only liked the joke but also requested the fake DLC to be made for the game, which is what Bohemia actually did.
The Karts is the first Paid DLC, other paid DLCs include the Helicopters DLC which launches in September and Marksmen DLC which launches in Q1 2015 for $15 each.
Priced at $2, a portion of which will be given to charity, The Arma 3 Karts lets player commandeer go-karts with up to 4 different paint jobs and matching race apparel. The DLC also adds various objects which will be useful for creating go-kart racetracks in the game’s editor mode.
Thanks to Bohemia’s new DLC policy, every Arma 3 owner will get a chance to try out the DLC for free but with a few limitations placed.
These limitations vary on each DLC, it could be that the player will be able to access the content in the Multiplayer mode but not in Single Player mode. Another example would be the Helicopters DLC that will allow the player to ride a Helicopter but not fly it nor mount the helicopter’s mounted gun. You can read more on Bohemia’s DLC policy here.
