Website For Rockstar’s Seemingly Dead IP ‘Agent’ Goes Live

By   /   May 29, 2014

Seems like we might finally be able to see Rockstar’s PS3 exclusive Agent at E3 2014. The game was originally announced E3 2009 although Sony had teased that they were working with Rockstar for an exclusive franchise back in 2007.

The game’s website just went up quite recently. While the site doesn’t really contain anything besides the logos, but that combined with the recent refiling of Agent trademark could mean that Rockstar is finally ready to reveal more info about the game.

The game is stealth oriented and set during the Cold War and will take players into “the world of counter-intelligence, espionage and political assassinations”

Following the huge silence since the game’s announcement in 2009, it was believed it had been cancelled until Take-Two confirmed in 2011 that the game was still under development.

Given how PS3 is a thing of the past now, it’s unlikely that Rockstar would be releasing Agent on it. The company had previously announced that they were working on a next gen title for 2015.

Whether it would be a new IP or a next gen version of an already established franchise is still unknown. It is possible that this next gen title might end up being the much-awaited Agent.
