Nintendo Trademarks Pokemon Delta Emerald In Japan

By   /   May 29, 2014

Earlier this month, Nintendo announced it was developing Pokemon Omega Ruby and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire for 3DS. The games would be full remakes of the Game Boy Advance originals instead of new titles.

Now Gematsu reports that Nintendo has trademarked the name “Delta Emerald” in Japan.

The trademark was originally filed on May 2nd but was made public on 29th May.

While no remake has officially been announced, Pokemon fans can expect a remake of Pokemon Emerald too since it was one of the three same generation Pokemon titles on GBA, the other two being Ruby and Sapphire.

Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are set to launch worldwide in November 2014 for 3DS. The titles were initially reported to be set in a new world and provide players a “fresh take” on Pokemon Ruby and Pokemon Sapphire, two highly successful GBA titles.

Are you a Pokemon fan and excited by the upcoming release of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire? Would you like to see Delta Emerald being released as well?
