New Grid Autosport Video Shows the Endurance Racing, It’s All About Discipline
Codemasters released a new Grid Autosport video which takes a look at the game’s Endurance Race Discipline.
Featuring upto 16 cars in an Offline mode and 12 Cars in the Online, the Endurance race has players participating in lengthy races that last a whole day in-game. As long as 40 minutes in real time, unlike normal races the Endurance race requires strategy rather than speed.
The player has to find ways to get into the first position without forcing his way to the front, the AI will also use different strategies to gain a better position and then keep the player from overtaking it.
Grid Autosport’s Endurance mode focuses on careful driving and the grip of the vehicle. The player has to drive carefully and not wear his car down during the race; if the tires are worn the car will be difficult to steer or if the car has suffered an impact which has broken its front or rear will also affect the car’s performance.
Following cars will be available for use in the Endurance Mode:
- AUDI R8 LMS Ultra
- Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3
- Aston Martin N24 V12 Zagato
- McLaren 12C GT3
- Nissan 2008 (R35) GT-R Nismo GT500
- Honda HSV-010 GT
- Lola B12/80
- Shelby Cobra “Daytona” Coupe
- Ford GT40 MK1
- Mazda 787B
Grid Autosport will be available on the PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 on June 24th in the US and June 27th in Europe.
