EA Sports has announced that it plans on releasing a free FIFA 14 Ultimate Team: World Cup update which will add ‘excitement of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil’ to FIFA 14.

The update is scheduled to release on May 29 for PC, Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.

Having a separate interface, FUT World Cup will feature 32 National Teams, which will be attending this year’s championship.

The update will feature all National Teams’ crests, official Adidas Brazuca football, national kits, Estadio do Marcana stadium, and the whole new interface and feel of World Cup.

Players would be able to participate in both Online and Offline tournament modes and move their way through group stages and knock out phases.

Winning matches will yield in-game virtual coins, which would be used to acquire new players and consumables. Check out the video provided above which showcases ratings provided to various players.

Electronic Arts has also stated that some players from FIFA Ultimate Team will have different ratings in the World Cup Mode.
