The Division Might Get Delayed To 2016, Developer Not Favoring Xbox One Version

Last week, Ubisoft confirmed that their highly anticipated title ‘The Division will be delayed to 2015.

However, a source of Gamereactor has said that there is a huge possibility that the game will not see the light of day until 2016.

The source says that releasing the game early would be a huge mistake and the studio doesn’t want to do a Battlefield 4.

The Division is without a doubt one of the most ambitious game projects of all time and our publisher has naturally realised this. We’ve been given increased resources, we’re hiring lots at the moment and are given a lot of help from other Ubisoft teams which is going to be needed if we are to deliver a finished game by next fall.

Sadly I still think that the date is a tad bit optimistic as we still don’t have a functioning game and still have massive problems making our multiplayer component work at the concept stage.

Furthermore, the source confirmed that the rumors of Xbox One version getting more importance are false.

PlayStation 4 is the more powerful hardware and we feel it is easier to develop for. Snowdrop works better on PS4 and even if Microsoft do want us to shift lead platform that’s not something that has happened.

The Division took everyone’s breath away when it was shown at last year’s E3 but there is no way that anyone will accept an unfinished product.

Even if the game is delayed to 2016, the consumers would want a finished product without any problems.
