New Destiny Trailer Shows the MMO Side of the Game
A new trailer for the highly anticipated massively multiplayer online shooter Destiny has been released, primarily focusing on the development and playability of the game as an MMO.
The trailer features members of the Bungie development studio offering their insight on the online multiplayer aspect of the game. The trailer also features in-game footage of the various class abilities available to a player, and also introduces the super abilities that can be initiated by holding the two trigger buttons on your controller.
Players will have options to continue their storyline individually, or accompany them into events that involve combating a large group of alien attackers.
Destiny is a project aimed at thinning the border between MMO and conventional FPS shooters, mixing the collaborative, tactical aspect of one genre with the fast-paced, story driven gameplay of the other.
The game was earlier set to enter a beta stage in February, but the plan was pushed till July. The beta for the game is planned to launch for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 consoles first.
The game itself is set to be released on September 9 for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox 360.
