Rockstar Games’ Co-Founders Are One of the 1000 Most Wealthiest Britons

The Sunday Times has compiled a list of 1000 most wealthiest Britons, joining their ranks are the two co-founders of Rockstar Games, Dan and Sam Houser.

The Houser brothers are ranked as 947th in the list with a combined fortune estimated at £90 million equivalent to $151 million, coming short to Mel Morris founder of King, makers of Candy Crush Saga. Morris is listed as 238th most wealthiest briton worth £407 million equivalent to $684 million.

Rockstar earned more than $800 million on the first day of Grand Theft Auto V’s release, which skyrocketed to $1 billion in only three days according to Rockstar Games’ parent company Take Two Interactive.

Grand Theft Auto V broke the record set by Call of Duty Black Ops 2 as fastest title to reach $1 billion, Black Ops 2 reached the $1 billion mark in 15 days after release, one day faster than Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3.

It has been 6 years since Sunday Times made their last Most Wealthiest list. Back in 2008, a person needed to be worth £80 million to be eligible for the list, the eligibility for this list has been increased to £85 million and is likely to rise by the time they do another list.
