The Division Delay is Official Now, Will Come Out in 2015

Not surprisingly, Ubisoft has announced that its upcoming title, The Division’s release date has been pushed from its 2014 release to an unmarked 2015 release. Taking into account that The Division is not part of Ubisoft’s current fiscal year releases, it’s likely the game will release some time after March 31st 2015.

Developer Ubisoft Massive issued a statement saying that the game is a lifetime opportunity for the studio so in order to provide a quality product, the studio is going to release the game when it’s ‘ready’.

They thanked the community for their support for the game and that they’re in for a treat in this year’s E3.

Ubisoft has quite a reputation for delaying their games and this is nothing new, however, the delays have proved to be useful for their games; better to have the fans wait a little while than to release tons of patch for the game after the fans find out the game they paid good money for is unplayable.

The Division is a third person role-playing shooter developed by Ubisoft Massive, Reflections and Red Storm for the PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4. Ubisoft has also hinted at a potential Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and WiiU port of the game in the future.
