The Boss Possibly Returning to Metal Gear Solid: The Phantom Pain

A user on Neogaf posted a screenshot of a twitter conversation between a MGS fan and Lori Alan who voiced The Boss in Metal Gear Solid series.

The conversation hints at Alan’s possible connection with the upcoming Metal Gear Solid: The Phantom Pain, possibly returning as Snake’s mentor The Boss.

Alan posted a mass-tag ‘hello’ to many people connected with the MGS series, including the original voice of Solid Snake, David Hayter. A fan approached Alan and asked if she will be reprising her role as The Boss in Phantom Pain to which she replied with a playful ‘maybe’.

This may not sound like a confirmation but many fans are hopeful since it isn’t a ‘no’ either as well as all the tags she added in her original post. Then again, it is very likely that Alan will voice a different character since she tagged David Hayter, who has been replaced by Keifer Sutherland but is hinted to star in The Phantom Pain.

Hayter hasn’t been quite all the while either, he has been teasing about his return to the series ever since Sutherland was announced as the voice of Snake.

Gamingbolt points at the MGS The Phantom Pain trailer shown in GDC2013, right around the end a female voice with a slight russian accent says “V has come to” a subtle hint at The Boss who is also known as “Voyevoda” which is Russian for “Warlord”
