New Tropico 5 Trailer Highlights Different Multiplayer Features
A new trailer for Tropico 5 showcasing the multiplayer aspect of the game has been released at Kalypso’s official youtube channel.
Tropico 5 will be the first in the series to get a multiplayer mode, featuring a Co-op and Versus mode. Players can choose matches from the game’s match-finder or create their own online match, they can choose from one of the 4 eras of the game to serve as the starting era of the match.
In Co-op mode, each players starts off at a different location in the map as allies, players can share resources like money, food, electricity and even man-power to help with the development of the ailing player.
The game would be nothing without diplomacy, players in co-op mode also have the option of attacking the other player to seize control of his land. There are many ways a player can cripple his rival, they can attack the rival player’s Economy, Infrastructure, Military, Welfare and even the Government.
Tropico 5 will be available digitally on May 23rd with retail version being available on June 3rd. The Tropico 5 Limited Special Edition is now available for pre-order which comes with a exclusive avatar skim, artbook, El-Presidente’s passport, a poster of the island and the Bayo Del Olfato DLC.
Fans can also purchase the Steam Special edition that comes with a bonus avatar costume, the Isla de Vapor map and another exclusive map, the Big Cheese DLC as well as the code for a free copy of Tropico 4 and Omerta: City of Gangsters.
