Titanfall Expedition DLC’s Swampland Map Detailed In New Trailer
Titanfall Expedition DLC is set to release this month and it will bring three new maps to game. While we have seen what Runoff and War games maps were all about, we hardly knew anything about Swampland, the third map of Expedition DLC.
Knowing that, the designer of the Swampland, Chris Dionne revealed the details about the new map, how it came to be, and how it will play out in the game.
He mentioned that the first prototype of the map was developed way back in 2011 because the developer wanted to make a multiplayer map that takes place in the swamps.
After the design of Titanfall was complete, new buildings, temples and some great structures were added to the swampland. However, after play testing it, the developer decided to bring more trees in the middle of the map and move the buildings around them.
With Swampland I tried to add a unique experience to Titanfall while staying true to the original themes of the level, like overwhelming nature and its intersection with technology. This was a level born of heavy experimentation and iteration.
As you can see from the trailer above, this map does seem pretty unique and exciting while encouraging battles in the open environment.
Titanfall Expedition DLC pack will release this month at the price of $10 but if you own the season pass of the game, you will be able to get it for free.
