The 7th Guest 3 Chops Up Its Crowd-Funding Plea

Developer Trilobyte Games has launched a new crowd-funding effort for The 7th Guest 3: The Collector. It seeks $65,000 in funds for the completion of one part of development.

It’s a rather strange pitch. This first goal will only work towards the creation of a Beta for the classic adventure. Backers will then be given a mini-game with one floor and three puzzles.

Through this alternate platform, Trilobyte Games is able to chop up its objectives in different tiers, rather than have a full process with additional stretch goals. Here, the stretch goals serve to complete the actual game. It’s weird, honestly.

Full funding of is also a far cry from the smaller goal. To complete The 7th Guest 3: The Collector, the company needs $435,000.

Currently, this campaign is well on its way to complete the initial goal that will allow the creation of a Beta. At the time of writing, it has collected a little over $28,000 with 30 days left on the clock.

Previously, Trilobyte Games tried to get the full game funded through Kickstarter. It fell rather short of expectation, however, as the project failed with $121,318 donated.

The 7th Guest 3: The Collector is sticking to the roots of the series, with live action characters and static environments. It’s looking to release the full product on PC, but also iOS.
