New Dragon Age: Inquisition Screenshot Shows Dales’ Forest

After revealing the Exalted Plains of Dale last month, Bioware has released a screenshot of another area in the upcoming Dragon Age: Inquisition.

The Dales’ Forest is a part of the area south-east of Orlais and is supposedly the home of Dalish Elves.

It is referred to as the Emerald Graves by the elves because it serves as a burial site for soldiers who lost their lives in the Exalted Marches, a religious crusade carried out by the Chantry. One tree was planted for each fallen elf soldier who fought against the Orlesian Army.

The image shows what seems to be a camp or a small settlement in the middle of some dalish ruins. Even with all the destruction, the place still has its breathtaking beauty.

Dragon Age: Inquisition, the 3rd major installment in the franchise will put players in the shoes of a new protagonist who is yet unnamed. A civil war has broken out in Thedas, the fictitious world of the franchise and the main plot of the game would be to “save the world from itself”.

Unlike previous installments, Inquisition will be much more open ended. Using the power of Frostbite 3 engine, the developers are creating an extremely beautiful world which the players will be able to experience on 7th October, 2014 when the game launches for PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
