Adding Marvel and Star Wars Characters in Kingdom Hearts 3 Is Not Easy – Tetsuya Nomura

By   /   May 6, 2014

Ever since Disney acquired the rights to both Lucas Films and Marvel, the news of Kingdom Hearts 3 getting characters from Star Wars and Marvel characters was pretty imminent.

In response to the anticipation by fans, director of the game, Tetsuya Nomura while talking to Finaland during Japan Expo in Paris last week, explained how getting characters like Obi Wan, Spider-Man, and Iron Man is not as simple as it sounds.

Nomura holds that despite of the fact that both Disney and Square Enix are working hand in hand, there are still some restrictions and rules that must be considered. That being said, Nomura has promised fans that they will certainly witness something extra-ordinary in the upcoming installment.

It would be great if we could add those licenses as well, though; there are lots of rules and restrictions by Disney so we can’t actually put in everything people want. So it’s quite a difficult decision, but we’re going to prepare some surprises for you so, just wait for the information.

KDramaStars reports that it is quite possible that Iron Man will make cameo in Kingdom Hearts 3 and will recruit Sora to put an end to Darth Vader.

I would ask you to take all of this with a grain of salt until we get an official word from the director. Here’s to hoping that the upcoming E3 will bring more news related to this.
