More information on Call of Duty Advanced Warfare, Boxart Revealed
According to the press release, the game has been in the works for the last 3 years, and is set in the near-future
where the military has complete access to powerful new technologies.
Based on a researched and crafted vision of the future, the Private Military Corporations (PMCs) featured in the game have become the major armed forces in the world, hired by many nations to fight for them changing both the countries they fight and the rules of war.
Jonathan irons, voice-acted and designed after Kevin Spacey, is the founder and president of the world’s largest PMC called the Atlas Corporation and holds the power over all other PMCs and has set his eyes on a bigger prize.
The soldiers wear powerful exoskeletons giving players advanced movement capabilities like boost jumps, grappling, cloaking and biomechanics that makes them a force not to be reckoned with. CoD Advanced Warfare will be the first title to offer such freedom in terms of movement in the whole franchise.
The game will feature high tech weapons, gadgets and new perks as well as access to vehicles like the Hoverbike and specialized drones. Players can choose between standard ammunition or the newly introduced Energy Weaponry which changes the game mechanics entirely.
Given the level of movement freedom the game promises, the multiplayer matches will certainly be interesting. Quite a few fans have pointed out that the game shows similarities to Infinity Ward’s Titanfall, though that doesn’t sound too bad, does it?
