Although Daylight is an Indie title, it has managed to gather more attention than most of the Indie titles usually get.

The game has received mixed reviews on its release, and we do have divided opinion about the game by the fans. I guess if you are reading this, you are among the ones who like the game and are unfortunately victimized by an error, crash or an annoying bug.

If that’s the case, you can refer to the following troubleshooting listing to find the possible fixes of the concerned issues.

#1 Daylight MSVCR100 Error
If you are receiving this error on launch, you should head over to this link and download the package. Once downloaded, install it and reboot your PC. The problem should be solved.

#2 Daylight Error: DX11 is Required Fix
A lot of people are facing this issue and the problems seems to be related to Windows 7 users only.

Anyways, in order to fix it, you need to download this update.

If you are still confused, you can visit this link for further details.

#3 Daylight Crash To Desktop – Daylight.exe Appcrash
If your game is being crashed repeatedly with the above mentioned error, you need to create a text file in \steam\steamapps\common\daylight folder. Name this text file as ‘steam_appid.txt’.

After naming it, open it and paste ‘230840’ in it and save changes. This might fix the issue for you.

#4 Daylight – White Screen on Launch Fix
The problem is commonly being faced by Intel HD GPU users.

If you are using one, make sure that you visit the manufacturer’s official website to update your drivers. It goes without saying that if you have any other GPU on board, switch to it before starting the game as Intel GPUs are never meant for gaming.

#5 Daylight Crashes – Error 0xc000007b
If you are receiving this error on launch, you need to uninstall your vcredistm reboot your PC and then re-install it from the official website. After the installation is complete, reboot it again to fix the issue.

#6 Daylight Crashes – Fatal error address = 0x0 (filename not found)
If you are getting this error then most probably you don’t have a supported video card for the game. If that’s not the case, make sure that you have updated Directx and GPU drivers.

#7 Daylight – The game Stuck at Saving
Some user have reported that their game becomes unresponsive while it’s trying to save the progress or during checkpoints. If that’s the case with you, be patient and let it process even if the game feels unresponsive.

Eventually, it will load up. If you are using any third party applications like FRAPS, try exiting them before starting the game.

#8 Daylight – How to Change FOV
If you are looking to change the default FOV value in Daylight, you will have to do some changes in the config file. The file I am talking about can be found in the game’s directory (Engine\Config\BaseInput).

Open it and find the section that says “— General bindings”.

You need to replace the section with the code given below:

+ExecBindings=(Key=B,Command=”ToggleSpeaking true | OnRelease ToggleSpeaking false”)
+ExecBindings=(Key=F1,Command=”viewmode wireframe”, bIgnoreShift=True)
+ExecBindings=(Key=F2,Command=”viewmode unlit”)
+ExecBindings=(Key=F3,Command=”viewmode lit”)
+ExecBindings=(Key=F4,Command=”viewmode detaillighting”)
+ExecBindings=(Key=F5,Command=”viewmode shadercomplexity”)
+ExecBindings=(Key=Period,Command=”RECOMPILESHADERS CHANGED”,Control=True,Shift=True)
+ExecBindings=(Key=F10,Command=”FOV 100″,Control=False,Shift=False,Alt=False)

You can adjust the value of FOV in there according to your own needs.

#9 Daylight Controller Sensitivity Fix
If you are unhappy with the default controller sensitivity, you can change it by tweaking the config file (C:\Programs\SteamApps\common\Daylight\Engine\Config\BaseInput.

Open the file and look for the following section:

You can change sensitivity values based on your liking.
