Sky has revealed that their streaming services Sky go and Now TV will be releasing for the PlayStation 4 later this summer. Microsoft’s Xbox One will get Now TV as well in the summer but Sky has not confirmed anything regarding the Sky Go app for the console.

A spokesperson for Sky told Eurogamer:

We enjoy a long track-record of innovating with Microsoft and look forward to the launch of Now TV on Xbox One by summer. Looking ahead, we will also consider any future opportunities for Sky Go.

Now TV will be the first one to arrive on PS4 and it does not require any type of subscription, so you can enjoy the streaming services without bothering yourself with the subscription process.

Head of SCE UK Fergal Gara said:

Now TV has been a great addition to the PlayStation 3 entertainment portfolio, so bringing it to the new PS4 is going to delight all users of the newest, most powerful member of the PlayStation family.

With Sky Go App you will be able to stream on demand and it also allows you to watch live streams of the events without paying any extra charges except for the subscription fee. Anyone already with the Sky Go subscription will be able to get access to the PS4 version of the app without requiring another account.

Gara commented on Sky Go App announcement:

Sky Go joining both PlayStation platforms further enhances our credentials as the ultimate gaming and entertainment package.

Are you looking forward to stream content using the Sky Go App on your PlayStation 4?
