Hellraid Switches to Chrome Engine 6, Coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One
Techland has re-announced its fantasy first person shooter dungeon crawler ‘Hellraid’ for PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One alongwith a gallery of new screenshots of the game.
Previously, Hellraid was announced for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, what started off as a weapon mod for Dead Island and then evolved into a separate title which fans of the old ‘Hexen’ and ‘Heretic’ will find quite alluring.
The game made a jump from Techland’s Chrome Engine 5 to Chrome Engine 6, the same engine used in their Zombie survival shooter Dying Light, along with a suite of new features. The team plans on releasing the game on the Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC.
The game has four character classes which were merged together into one class that has access to all the spells and skills previously exclusive to each class.
It also features weapon crafting, similar to Dead Island but a bit advanced, allowing players to forge new weapons as well as imbue special qualities to them with the help of scrolls and items found in the game. You can read more about the game here.
The game will feature a 4-player co-op mode and three new game modes; story mode, arena mode and mission mode where the team takes on the story-missions from the story mode but with different objectives such as high score, combos and more.
