New Dragon Quest Game Announced by The Creator of the Franchise

Creator of the famous Dragon Quest games Yuji Horii has announced that the next installment in the series is currently under development at Square Enix. He made this announcement while at Niconico Super Conference 3 in Chiba.

No name was mentioned for the next game, but we can safely assume that it will be called Dragon Quest XI because it is the next game in the franchise and previous release was called Dragon Quest X, which was released last year in Japan for Wii, Wii U, PC and Android.

One thing that the game was criticized for was its need to be online. You have only few hours to play the game before you have to go back online to get all the required content for the game.

Dragon Quest X offered a cloud storage to allow the players to gather all their save data and other game content in one place.

The gameplay was just like the previous games in the series with elements of RPG and MMOs. It encouraged exploration through an open World swarming with enemies to kill, quests to complete and towns to visit during your journey.

Japanese Magazine Famitsu gave a score of 36/40 stating that it’s a very well-made package.

Are you excited about the announcement of the next game in the Dragon Quest XI?
