Sony Releases Two New Videos to Show Augmented Reality

Sony has released a couple of new videos to showcase its augmented reality lighting technology and from what we have seen in the videos, it looks like that this new technology will have something to do with the PS4 camera.

The first video shows an individual putting flashlight over a dinosaur and Hatsune Miku (Japanese character) then moving it again and again, to which the characters react differently and a shadow is formed on the floor.

The other video shows an individual holding two squared blocks in his hands that have pictures on them and they turn into some kind of fish bowls with duck in it, then the person pours the water from one block to another and vice versa then finally pouring all of the water on the ground.

Sony has not made any official announcement about developing augmented reality technology, but after the release of these videos, announcement may be coming really soon.

Two other major giants in gaming, Microsoft and Valve are also working on the augmented reality projects with Fortaleza and castAR respectively.

What are your thoughts on the augmented reality gaming technology? Do you think that it has enough potential to survive in the market? Let us know your theories in the comments!
