Tenkai Knights: Brave Battle Announced As 3DS Exclusive
Publisher Bandai Namco has announced a new project, called Tenkai Knights: Brave Battle, which will launch exclusively for Nintendo 3DS in fall of 2014. This is part of a list of announcements the company has done this week to support its Level Up 2014 event.
In Tenkai Knights: Brave Battle, players will take on a story of good versus bad, with valiant robots taking it up against evil ones. Four Tenkai Knights fight against Vilius and an army of minions to stop the destruction of Earth and Quarton.
It’s basically an altered format of Transformers, if you switch out Vilius with Megatron and Quarton with Cybertron. Think about it for a second.
In the regular Mission Mode, players can customize a Tenkai Knight with over hundred different assembly blocks. For multiplayer fans, Tenkai Knights: Brave Battle will allow up to four players to fight against each other in Versus Mode.
Not surprisingly, this Lego-like venture will be supported with its own set of toy figures and a separate animated TV series. It’s being made by Viz Media Europe, which is responsible for anime franchises such as Bleach, Naruto, Hamtaro and Death Note.
In related news, Bandai Namco announced that it would distribute indie PC game DeadCore this year. They’re also making plans for roleplaying games like Tales of Xillia 2 and Tales of Hearts R.
It’s been a busy week for Bandai Namco.
