The Last of Us Art Director Leaves Naughty Dog For Giant Sparrow

By   /   Apr 21, 2014

Naughty Dog has been seeing quite a few walk-outs recently. Nate Wells, the Art Director of The Last of US, is the latest high profile member to leave. Speaking on his Twitter, Wells revealed that he had left Naughty Dog for Giant Sparrow, the developers of “The Unfinished Swan”

Hmmm….seem to be some threads here. Yes, I joined the wild, wacky, and ultimately brilliant folks at Giant Sparrow on April 3rd.

Wells is working at Giant Sparrow as Art Director, the studio is known to be working on their second title named “Edith Findh” which Wells described as:

It’s not a sequel to The Unfinished Swan, but it’s not a million miles away either. If you like surreal experiences, and games that aren’t much like anything you’ve ever played before, then you’ll probably like it.

Earlier, Amy Hennig and Justin Richmond who worked on the Uncharted series, left Naughty Dog. Many considered them victims of internal-politics.

Ofcourse, Naughty Dog came quick to deny the rumors, but it is still quite puzzling as to why such high profile developers are leaving Naughty Dog when it is enjoying success after success.
