FarmVille 2: Country Escape Launched on Smartphones , Always Online not Required
Zynga’s title Farmville has become a household name due to its huge fan-base and player count on both the social networks and mobiles. Now the developer has decided to launch a game that is specifically made for Smartphones called Farmville 2: Country Escape.
This mobile version of the game is developed keeping in mind the feedback Zynga received from their former titles. The amazing new features added to Farmville 2: Country Escape is that it can now be played offline for as long as you want, but you will have to connect to the internet in order to save your progress.
Moreover, the game will introduce a new anonymous mode, which will give you an option to finish the quests, expand the farm and sell your goods without using any of the social features that were required before.
Just like the previous games, Farmville 2: Country Escape uses the freemium model, which means that the game will be a free-to-play title featuring micro-transactions within the game.
The game was released last Thursday and since then it has made it in to the top 3 in iTunes App Store in free games category and has entered the top 100 on Google play as well. The game is also on 42nd number in the top grossing chart.
Farmville 2: Country Escape is major shift for the developers compared to the previous games. GM of Zynga Jamie Davies wrote on his blog upon the game’s release:
We know that consumers play games differently on their phones and tablets than they do on the Web, We’ve redesigned crop timers, animal interactions, touch controls and the game board to deliver a satisfying play session whether you have 2 minutes in line at the store or 30 minutes at home on the couch.
Are you looking forward to building another farm in the latest iteration in the series from Zynga?
