Konami has announced that two of its horror titles, Silent Hill: Origins and Silent Hill: Shattered Memories are headed to Playstation Vita. Although no release date has been provided, Konami has affirmed that more information will be available ‘shortly’.

The Silent Hill series enjoys a stunning reputation for innovation and terror, and these re-issues will introduce a new generation of users to its terrifying secrets.

Silent Hill: Origins puts players in the shoes of a truck-driver Travis Grady who while wandering through a horror-struck town, tries to gather information on a girl he rescued.

The game was released back in November, 2007 on Playstation Portable and acts as a prequel to the original Silent Hill title.

As for the Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, it was released on Playstation Portable, Playstation 2, and Wii. It follows the story of a man Harry Mason and his quest which revolves around searching for his missing daughter. This title takes a different route from series by eradicating all sorts of combat from the game.

It remains to be seen whether both titles will be exactly same like the PSP versions or re-mastered for Playstation Vita. As for the price-tag, each title will be set players back 7.99/9.95 Euro.
