InFamous: Second Son Gets Photo Mode Tomorrow
Infamous: Second Son will be getting a new patch tomorrow that will be adding new features, as well as tweaks to the game.
The new patch will allow players to disable the game’s HUD, a feature Sucker Punch has added in view of fans who are fond of taking screenshots. It’s called Photo Mode and can be accessed by enabling the mode in the options or pressing L3 in-game to bring up a menu with modifying effects like Depth of Field, Lighting intensity etc. Photo Mode can be accessed in areas where the camera is freely movable. Players can still take screenshots during cutscenes but they wont have access to the Photo Mode tools.
Players can also change the time of the day in the game which, coupled with the Photo Mode option, will be the icing to the cake. The option to change the time of day will be enabled once the player has beaten the game.
The new update also comes with the option of capping the frame rate to 30FPS, a rather confusing feature.
“These options and settings, including frame rate, will reset to defaults each time you restart the game,” said Sucker Punch. “We chose to not disturb our game save file format with this patch in order get these features to you as quickly as we could.”
Other additions include a few crash fixes as well as localization text changes. The game will now pause when the controller runs out of power. Players who choose to play at Expert difficulty level will get a popup in the options on whether they qualify for the ‘Unstoppable’ trophy.
